Canterbury & London – Euro-Trip Days 8, 9 & 10
Days 8 & 9 were spent trying to maximize time with Sunny’s cousin and her husband as we explored Canterbury & London. We did so from more of a local’s perspective.
In Canterbury we attended our first Sunday Roast – which was basically like a turkey dinner held in the afternoon, in a pub. It felt very British. Sunny started drinking Gin (thanks to Darren’s suggestions) and actually enjoyed a couple of cocktails. Jess stuck with good ‘ol British ale.
We have been to London before and did not have much interest in doing all the same touristy things as last time. This time we checked out Camden Market in London, which was a nice change of pace. Our trip into London was cut a bit short when Sunny fell under the weather. A head cold had been bugging him all day, and by the evening he was a snotty mess, so we called it an early evening and made our way back to Wingham for some well deserved rest. Day 10 ended up being a write off as Sunny quarantined himself and slept most of the day while Jess played with a cat, hung out around Wingham and completed laundry ahead of our flight to Iceland.
