Hastings Lake Wedding
Julie and Darren’s beautiful outdoor Hastings Lake wedding ceremony was held on a gorgeous August afternoon. They had a lovely wedding surrounded by family and friends and reading their own handwritten vows.
We knew from our first meeting with Julie and Darren that they were going to be an awesome couple to work with. They were both so comfortable with each other, very outgoing and super excited about the wedding. We love it when the groom is not only passionate about his love for his fiance/wife but also the wedding planning process. Together they wanted to make sure that their wedding day was a reflection of them as individuals and as a couple.
When we met Julie and Darren for their engagement session they brought along their new Dalmatian puppy Beau to be part of the photographs. Beau stole the show (I mean, how could he not!) and he definitely stole our hearts. You can check out Julie and Darren’s autumn engagement here.
Beau is a big part of Julie and Darren’s life, so it was important to them to have him involved in their wedding day. Following a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Hastings Lake Gardens, family and friends gathered at Julie’s aunt’s home for cocktails and family portraits before heading to the reception in Josephburg. This is where we got to steal Julie and Darren away for a new minutes to captures some family portraits with them and Beau (who lost his MIND when he saw Darren).
Julie and Darren hosted their wedding reception and dance at the Moyer Recreation Center in Josephburg. Most guests brought trailers and campers so that they could stay late and party the night away with the newlyweds. It was a perfectly clear evening, so we again stole the couple away for some night time wedding portraits under the stars. It was the perfect way to end the most perfect wedding day.
Congratulations Julie and Darren, and thank you for inviting Deep Blue Photography to be there to capture your beautiful outdoor summer wedding celebration!
