Newborn Family Portraits

We love newborn family portraits and it makes it even more special when we get to photograph our dear friends. Congratulations to Kirsten and Corey who welcomed their beautiful son Sebastian into their family.

We first met Kirsten and Corey almost 10 years ago. We were neighbours who became fast friends thanks to our dogs. Through the years it feels like we have watched Kirsten and Corey grow up, we have been there to capture some of the biggest moments of their life. In 2014 Kirsten and Corey (finally) got engaged. In 2015 they celebrated that love with a beautiful winter wedding. In 2017 we got a very excited message letting us that they were expecting. It was no surprise to us since it had always been obvious that Kirsten and Corey were going to make amazing parents.

We were honoured that Kirsten and Corey wanted us to photograph their maternity and newborn family portraits. Their gorgeous maternity session can be seen here. These two adventurous souls took us out to a gorgeous waterfall for their maternity session – talk about epic love!

When Sebastian finally arrived, a very happy mom, dad and doggy Bean were right there to welcome him into the Fisher home. This sweet family has changed and grown over the years, but the love between them has only become stronger. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for these beautiful human beings. We cannot wait to be there to capture it all.

Our approach to newborn family portraits is very family-centric. We love the idea of having the entire family actively participate in the session. We understand that the life of new parents is hectic and often very overwhelming. So don’t worry about your house being clean or your fridge being empty. Just snuggle in with your sweet bundle of joy and celebrate the miracle that you have created.
