Mill Creek Ravine Spring Wedding
There is nothing more beautiful than a Mill Creek Ravine spring wedding. Chris and Kaitlyn’s intimate and elegant wedding celebration included family, friends and their lovely rescued pup, Ivy.
We first met Chris a few years ago when he was a groomsmen in his friend Andy’s wedding. We were so excited when Chris proposed to his sweetheart, Kaitlyn and they asked us to photograph their wedding and engagement.
Kaitlyn and Chris met us in Canmore on a snowy afternoon for their winter engagement session. Their dog Ivy is a huge part of their lives and we were delighted to have her as part of the engagement photos. You can check out their snowy Canmore engagement session here!
It was a gorgeous spring afternoon when we met up with Kaitlyn, Chris and their families for a very informal getting ready and first look. Chris and Kaitlyn got ready at the same house and their first look was in the living room. The couple wanted to keep their day light and fun, they had no formal wedding party and planned a private cocktail hour with friends before the ceremony. Family portraits were taken before the ceremony, at the Lois Hole Centennial Park in St. Albert. Chris and Kaitlyn then picked up their dog Ivy and met us at Edmonton’s Mill Creek Ravine for their wedding portraits.
The afternoon light was warm and beautiful as Chris and Kaitlyn strolled through Mill Creek Ravine with their dog. We love it when all family members are included in the wedding festivities.
An intimate, early evening ceremony was held at the Kind Edward Park Hall. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds headed straight out of the hall to catch their breath and savour the joy and celebration. Together they had their own, private champagne toast. When Chris and Kaitlyn returned the dinner reception began.
The evening was a beautiful, laid back reception that included a few speeches, some epic dancing and a lot of laughter. Chris and Kaitlyn truly planned a gorgeous, intimate wedding that was totally their style. Congratulations!
