Ice Castle Engagement Photos

These Edmonton Ice Castle engagement photos were absolutely magical. With gently falling snow and the Ice Castle pretty much to ourselves, this winter engagement session was so lovely.

The Edmonton Ice Castle has become something of a tradition here in the winter city. Opening in early January and closing when the temperatures start to signal spring, this impressive monument of ice attracts a lot of attention.

Standing as a monument to winter in the middle of Hawrelak Park, this Ice Castle was the perfect romantic location for engagement photos.

Chau Chau and Edward bundled up against the cold and snow, making sure to snuggle close for those intimate shots. The brilliant blue of the Ice CastleĀ  and the soft snowflakes made Chau Chau and Edward’s engagement session authentically Canadian.

It isn’t every couple who wants to have their engagement photos done in the snow, but we are so glad that these two lovely humans are the adventurous type. The afternoon at the Ice Castle was spent exploring the tunnels, caves and beautiful icicles.

Thank you to Chau Chau and Edward for inviting Deep Blue Photography to capture their Ice Castle engagement photos!
