Mexico Destination Wedding Photographers

Chris and Elia held their beautiful oceanside wedding ceremony at the Dreams Puerto Aventura Resort near Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. This vibrant resort was the perfect location for Chris and Elia’s week long wedding celebration! We had an absolute blast being Chris and Elia’s Mexico destination wedding photographers!

We felt an instant connection with Chris and Elia, from our first few meetings over beer, bubble tea, and boardgames.  We knew that photographing their wedding would be like hanging out with old friends. The energy of this group, which numbered over 50 guests, kept the wedding party going all week long.

To begin the wedding day festivities, Chris had to complete a series of hilarious and somewhat revealing tasks in order to win the approval of Elia’s family and friends. Once he and his groomsmen completed these tasks he was finally allowed to gain entry to the room Elia was in to see his bride. Once Chris had proved (and recomposed) himself, he and Elia performed a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony for their family who had travelled to Mexico to be with them.

After a quick costume change, Chris and Elia exchanged teary handwritten vows in a gazebo overlooking the breaking ocean waves. Friends and family watched as they sealed their marriage vows with a kiss with sailboats and seagulls lazily floating by.  That night, as the stars came out guests gathered on the sandy beach for an intimate and romantic reception dinner. Forgoing the traditional reception dance, the wedding party took the resort night club by storm and danced the night away.
