Autumn Engagement Session
Julie and Darren met us at Irene Parlby Park in downtown Edmonton for their autumn engagement session. To make their engagement photos even more special they brought their brand new puppy Beau to the session!
Beau is a 4 month old purebred Dalmatian and a bundle of curious energy. Beau is actually the younger brother to Julie and Darren’s previous dog Chance. When Chance unexpectedly passed away, they knew that the love of a dog would help them heal. They were fortunate enough to contact their breeder at just the right time and soon found themselves in love with a handsome fella named Beau.
It was a beautifully perfect autumn afternoon in the Edmonton river valley. We strolled through the bright yellow and orange autumn leaves with Beau bounding along beside us. We eventually found a park where Julie and Darren could take some time and goof around on the swings!
Autumn engagement sessions are amazing, not only do the changing leaves look great, but the temperatures are perfect for cozy sweaters and lots of snuggles. The leaves in Edmonton tend to change very quickly, for this reason we always recommend the end of September as the best time of year for your autumn engagement session.
A lot of our couples tell us their engagement session is the first time they’ve had professional photos taken together. We always suggest they take a look at our guide for preparing for your engagement photos.
It is our job as your photographers to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We do this by working with you to direct you into poses that are comfortable and flattering. The connection between the two of you is an important part of making your engagement photos come alive. So relax, have fun and enjoy your engagement session!
Thank you for inviting Deep Blue Photography along for a great afternoon at the park. We can’t wait for your wedding!!
