Atlantis Pavilion Wedding In Toronto
Nicole and Chris’ Atlantis Pavilion wedding in Toronto was an evening of full of love set against a beautiful backdrop and ending in an epic dance party that lasted well into the night.
The first time we met Nicole and Chris we absolutely fell in love with them. As they held their puppy Darla to the screen (to properly introduce us), we knew instantly that they were going to be awesome to work with. Nicole and Chris’ love story began back in high school, staying sweethearts through high school and university it was never a matter of “if” but rather “when” they would get married. This was a love story that was a long time in the making.
The downtown Raddison hotel was a hub of activity as both the ladies and gentlemen bustled about getting ready for Chris and Nicole’s wedding. The bride and groom wanted their wedding day to include details that represented them as a couple – so both bride and groom sported bright white Jordans, Bride & Groom sunglasses and personalized touches both bought and borrowed – like the beautiful hand embroidered “no ugly crying” handkerchief.
The ceremony was held at the Atlantis Pavilion, a bright and beautiful venue perched over the lake in downtown Toronto. As family and friends gathered in the ballroom, the sun began to set over the lake, creating a beautiful backdrop for Nicole and Chris’ sunset ceremony.
Nicole and Chris had prepared their own vows and as a special touch, they wrote them on the back of one the first photos of the two of them together. Their sweet and sentimental vows caused guests to erupt in waves of laughter and tears of joy. Bride and groom shared their first kiss amidst the roaring applause of their family and friends. The hard work was over, nerves had settled and it was time to party.
The wedding reception was held in the Metropolitan Room, a grand ballroom with floor to ceiling windows overlooking downtown Toronto. The maid of honour took her speech to the next level with a duet performance – an epic mash-up worthy of YouTube.
We stole the bride and groom away for a few minutes during the dance to take some night portraits with the Toronto city lights twinkling in the background. The stunning view from overlooking the city was worth the climb and was a beautiful way to end the wedding day.
Thank you to Nicole and Chris for inviting Deep Blue Photography to photograph your gorgeous downtown Toronto wedding.
