University of Alberta Botanic Garden Wedding
Jessica and Yannick tied the knot at one of the most beautiful locations imaginable. Their University of Alberta Botanic Garden wedding ceremony was an absolutely magical celebration of love.
It was a gorgeous summer day, perfect for a walk through the park and a big, beautiful wedding. As Yannick saw his bride for the first time walking towards him down the aisle, his nervousness relaxed and the tiniest tear slid down his cheek. Then, the biggest smile spread across his face as he took the hand of the woman he would marry.
Jessica and Yannick exchanged their vows on the sunny wedding patio at the University of Alberta Botanic Garden. The gardens were the perfect setting for these two outdoor adventure lovers.
Following the ceremony, guests headed for the Woodvale Golf and Country Club for an elegant dinner reception and dance. Part of the festivities included the epic wheel of love that Yannick and his groomsmen had built for the occasion. Nearly seven feet high, this mega wheel provided endless entertainment and opportunities for the bride and groom to smooch.
As the sunset over the golf course, Jessica and Yannick took a quiet walk together. This was their first chance to hang out by themselves and take in their wedding day. We love it when couples take a few moments, a few deep breaths and just be with each other. The light was stunning, but it was nothing compared to how absolutely beautiful this couple is together.
To end the evening, bride and groom invited their guests outside for an incredible sparkler lit procession. Over one hundred giant sparklers lit Jessica and Yannick’s pathway as they made their exit.
It was an incredible night – thank you for inviting Deep Blue Photography to capture your amazing wedding day.
Jessica and Yannick love adventure and their dog, Bella. We were fortunate enough to meet up with them in Banff one snowy afternoon for a crazy adventure engagement session. You can check out their photos here.
