Trash the Dress Pictures In Mexico
The day after Kelly and Kalin’s intimate Mexico beach wedding ceremony at the Azul Sensatori Resort, we met up with them to capture their trash the dress pictures at the hotel pools.
From our first meeting, Kelly knew that she wanted to trash her wedding dress in the ocean. However, when she found her perfect dress she was too in love with it to even think about taking it into the water. Her solution was to purchase a second (less expensive, but totally gorgeous) dress for the sole purpose of trashing. We love you Kelly!
With cerveza in hand, our first stop was the swim up bar. Obviously the best way to get into the pool (like falling in love) is to jump right in!
The warm tropical sunset and bright turquoise waters of the Mayan Rivera were the perfect backdrop to highlight the love (and laughter) of Kelly and Kalin as they let loose for their day after session. We found the kid’s splash park (empty!) and as the sun began to set we caught the sunset light and some epic water splash portraits.

One of our favourite things about destination weddings is having the opportunity to spend more than just one day with the happy couple. Most destination weddings include pre-wedding events, outings or activities that help connect the wedding guests.
The wedding day is often very laid back because the resort handles all of the wedding preparations and details. The happy couple and their guests arrive to find their ceremony location looking amazing and their reception ready for a party.
Following the day of the wedding we love to meet up with the couple and take sunset portraits around the resort. This is an opportunity to explore more unique locations and have some fun in the tropical destination.
