Old Timers Cabin Wedding
Jody and Keith exchanged beautiful, heartfelt vows in an intimate Old Timers Cabin wedding on a gorgeous summer afternoon.
Jody and Keith are two of the most energetic and adventurous people we have ever met. They are constantly on the go, moving forward in their life, their education and their love.
It was a bright July afternoon when family and friends gathered at Edmonton’s Old Timers Cabin to celebrate the marriage of Jody and Keith. It was an emotional ceremony, which concluded by both bride and groom placing love letters and a bottle of wine in a beautifully crafted box (made by the groom), to be opened on their first anniversary.
Itching to get the festivities started, the wedding party popped the champagne in the parking lot and headed to the historic Mercer Tavern in downtown Edmonton. Jody and Keith relaxed and celebrated with their wedding party while enjoying a pint and a few impromptu toasts.
After a short stop for some epic river valley photos, the wedding party danced their way into the Old Timers Cabin for the wedding reception. Family and friends recounted hilarious and touching stories of Jody, Keith and their dog Izzy. Each speech contained the same sentiment: These two have a very special love – they would do anything for each other…even move to Edmonton.
As the sun dipped below the city skyline, we stole Jody and Keith away for some sunset portraits. It was the perfect night for a stunning Edmonton sunset. The warm evening light spilling across the Edmonton river valley wrapped these newlyweds in a romantic embrace. It was the perfect moment of stillness, where bride and groom were able to take a deep breath, relax into each others arms and take in the emotions of their wedding day.
Once the party got started the dance floor was packed – Jody, Keith and their guests danced the night away. This Old Timers Cabin wedding was beautiful, rustic and a lot of crazy fun!
