Unique Vancouver Engagement Pictures

Hardeep and Lars are west coast cool, and their unique Vancouver engagement pictures capture that style.

One of the first questions we like to ask our couples is “what is your engagement story?” We love to watch couples tell their story, to relive that moment and to remember what it felt like to fall completely head-over-heels.

This is one such story, but for the first time, we are going to let our couple (well, Hardeep) tell her engagement story. Enjoy.

“It was Saturday October 13, 2012. Lars’ birthday is October 15th so I had planned to take him out that evening. I had made reservations at Hawksworth restaurant (award-winning restaurant in Vancouver). I didn’t tell Lars until an hour before we left where we were going. I had asked the restaurant when we were done dinner to bring out a dessert that said “Happy Birthday Lars”. When we finished the waiter came out with dessert but instead of putting it in front of him he placed it in front of me. To my amazement, it was a dessert that said Will you Marry Me? Then he pulled out the ring (didn’t get down on bended knee tho..lol). He claims before he could, I already had grabbed the ring..lol! I don’t think that actually happened but then again I was totally surprised that it could have..hahaha! The restaurant then brought us champagne..it was pretty awesome.”

Hardeep & Lars took us to the North Vancouver Night Market for their super romantic evening/night engagement photo shoot. The next afternoon we toured around downtown Vancouver with them (their home-neighbourhood) and took some more soft and sweet portraits of this beautiful young couple.
