Since 2012 we have photographed over 100 weddings, with many of them being in Edmonton. There are many beautiful Edmonton wedding venues to choose from. Choosing the right one can take a lot of work, but you will know the instant you find that perfect spot.

Planning a wedding in Edmonton can be very time consuming.  Unlike many major North American cities Edmonton’s wedding season is relatively short.  Most years we will have snow on the ground from November through April. This results in heavy competition for wedding venues during the summer months.  Some venues book 12-16 months in advance, while others only accept bookings 6 months out.

Picking the right venue is key to having a great ceremony or reception.  Deciding on whether to have the ceremony and venue in the same location is another big decision.  For many couples having a religious ceremony in a place of worship means they must also book a separate venue for the reception.  Many upscale venues like the Fairmont Hotel McDonald offer priority booking to couples who book both the ceremony and reception there. Couples looking to only book their reception at these types of venues often have to wait. Some venues only book partial day bookings 6 months before the wedding.
