Banff Engagement Photos
Cathy and Fraser’s Banff engagement photos were the perfect mix of elegance and rugged mountain beauty.
It was a bright spring day when Cathy and Fraser met us at the Tunnel Mountain meadow to begin their engagement session in Banff. It turned out to be a beautiful March afternoon in the mountains – although we did get a wide range of weather. The afternoon was full of surprises as a spring storm suddenly let loose on us while wandering the the shores of Two Jack Lake. Thankfully Cathy and Fraser have a great sense of humour (and adventure) and agreed to wait out the storm. Normally we would have expected snow, but thanks to unusually warm temperatures it ended up only being a rain storm.
The late afternoon light was worth the wait and as the skies cleared over Lake Minnewanka and the impressive mountain range that surrounds the lake. Cathy and Fraser wandered the shoreline and found the perfect spot to cuddle together for some very cute mountain engagement photos.
The evening skies remained clear which gave us the perfect opportunity to head back out to the lake for some night portraits. As luck would have it we were even able to capture the Milky Way in these Banff engagement photos.
We love the opportunity to get out and photograph the stars. The night sky set against the rugged Rocky Mountains can produce stunning and unique wedding and engagement portraits. There is just something wonderfully romantic about the night sky.
Couples often tell us they are worried about their engagement session. For most couples its the first time they’ll have professional photos taken together. We have created a little guide to help couples prepare for their engagement sessions. We hope it helps you too! Please feel free to leave a note below 🙂
