Stone Barn Wedding – Dylan & Taylin

Stone Barn Wedding

What happens when an Upwardly-Mobile-Laser-Ninja marries a beautiful Hippy-Wierdo-Flower-Child? Well, it is one of the most romantic and elegant weddings of the summer. Dylan and Taylin’s Stone Barn wedding in Leduc was sweet, silly and full of love.
Summer weddings are full of bright, beautiful flowers and plenty of sunshine. This soft summery theme was the center of Dylan and Taylin’s Stone Barn wedding.

The Stone Barn is a hidden gem, located along the shores of Leduc’s Telford Lake. The historic park was once owned by the Brown family, it still contains the original farmhouse and milking shed. At its center is the most stunning structure – the stone barn. The skeleton-like structure of the historic stone barn is the perfect backdrop for a light and airy ceremony with beautiful architectural features. The area around the stone barn is a a fully landscaped garden, perfect for portraits.

Dylan and Taylin chose to write their own vows to each other and read them as part of their wedding ceremony. This bride and groom chose their sweet words so thoughtfully and carefully that there was hardly a dry eye in the crowd. Together they sealed love letters and a bottle of wine in an anniversary box, exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

Family and friends welcomed the couple and their wedding party to the Windermere Golf and Country Club. This stunning golf course is nestled in the heart of the Edmonton river valley, surrounded by lush forest and rolling hills.

The evening reception was highlighted by Dylan and Taylin’s choreographed first dance. With perfectly timed steps they danced their way across the floor and into married life. After a bit of liquid courage and with much enthusiasm guests soon packed the dance floor and the party stared rocking.

We managed to steal Dylan and Taylin away from the party for a few night wedding portraits. These few quiet minutes away from the lively party is an opportunity for the couple to take a deep breath and take in their day.
