Shaw Conference Centre Wedding
The only thing that Kathleen and Andy love more than each other is their adorable dachshund, Sophie. It only made sense that Sophie was included in this beautiful Shaw Conference Centre wedding. Dogs definitely make the cutest wedding party members.
Kathleen and Andy held their wedding ceremony in the bright and beautiful Riverview Room at the Shaw Conference Centre. Sophie was walked down by three proud ring-bearers and held by the groomsmen during the ceremony so that she could watch her people get married.
One of the best things about the Shaw Conference Centre is its proximity to Edmonton’s river valley, Louise McKinney Park and the Alberta Legislature. The beautiful park areas made for a lovely backdrop for Kathleen and Andy’s autumn wedding portraits. We love autumn weddings because the colours are vibrant and the temperature is perfect for long elegant gowns and three-piece suits.
This couple planned a stop at one of their favorite downtown stops for some beverages and some shuffleboard. Local Jasper Ave was a great location for some fun indoor wedding portraits and a break for this busy wedding party. Having a planned break during your wedding day is a great way to slow things down, enjoy the moment and spend quality time hanging out with your partner and friends.
The newlyweds arrived back at the reception to thunderous applause. The Riverview room was transformed into an elegant wedding reception complete with a dance floor that was ready for action. As soon as the formal program for the evening was finished, the bride and groom took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. We managed to tear them away from the dance party at the end of the night for some night portraits under the city lights.
