Fairmont Banff Springs Wedding

Phil and Nana’s Fairmont Banff Springs wedding was full of beautiful details, sweet romance and pure elegance.

The first time we got to hang out with Phil and Nana was their engagement shoot in the early spring. We had booked the session well in advance knowing that we would only have a few hours with them as they stopped over in Edmonton on their way to Toronto. After a snowy engagement session we headed to De Dutch for hot coffee and pannekoeken. This engagement session and brunch date turned into a few hours of visiting and a fast-friendship. Guests gathered at the Rundle Memorial United Church to bear witness to Phil and Nana’s wedding ceremony. Wanting to make their ceremony their own, the couple prepared their own handwritten vows which made sure there was not a dry eye in the room. With promises of love and the blessings of their families, this beautiful couple was pronounced husband and wife.

Taking advantage of the beautiful scenery in the town of Banff, the wedding couple and their families headed to Cascade Gardens for their portraits. Phil and Nana were chauffeured in style in a perfectly restored 1956 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. Following the family and wedding party portraits, we took Phil and Nana to the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel to capture a few intimate wedding portraits before delivering them to the reception.

The Mount Stephen Hall at the Fairmont Banff Springs was elegantly decorated with gold and rose details and lit by candlelight. After touching speeches and a few awesome “Phil-inspired” puns, Phil and Nana got the party started with a beautifully executed first dance. To end the night we stole the happy couple away for a few minutes to captures some night wedding portraits.
